Hey y’all! My name is Kate and I blog over at Kate’s Balancing Act! I’m so very excited to be working with Becca and can’t wait to share my 5 Favorite Winter Dates with you! But before I jump into that, let me tell you a little about myself!
I’m 24 years old and I married the love of my life, Chadd, on August 9th, 2014 in the beautiful Smokey Mountains of Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
We reside in [frigid] Wisconsin with one sassy kitty, Bailey, and one
sly snake, Guinness. I work as a mechanical engineer and Chadd is a mechanic.
We also have a side business which you can check out here.
I enjoy wearing yoga pants any chance I get, window shopping,
and just about anything with glitter!
I also do a lot of volunteer work for Susan G. Komen
as well as a couple other charities close to my heart!
But enough about me and onto some fun date ideas!
Without further ado….
Feelin’ the winter blues? I hear ya!
It can always be a little difficult to keep up with regular date nights with your special person but it always seems extra hard during the winter months
when you’d rather stay home cuddled in a blanket all.the.time.
So I’m here to help kick those winter blues out the door and
share some fun winter dates with y’all!
Wine & Paint
Again, this is something I’ll never be able to get Chadd to do with me.
(He’s a manly man
if you know what I mean and this is out of his comfort zone – which is fine.)
I did do this with some
girlfriends though and had a blast!
I definitely recommend this if you’re both artsy and like to drink. ;)

Have your own wine/beer tasting at home
This is something I’ve always talked about doing but have
yet to get around to it. But this is how I imagine it would go down….
1. Go to the store and pick out a few different wines or beers that you’ve been dying to try.
2. Go home and slip into something comfortable or a little risqué to help set the mood.
3. Light some candles and pour the wine or beer into sample glasses.
4. Make sure there are no distractions (TV, phones, etc.)
and enjoy your samples and of course each other
Sounds like a fun, relaxing night in and not even too costly!

Snow Graffiti
– Get some spray paint (or use food coloring in a spray bottle of water)
and go out and graffiti that snow!
Make love notes for each other, draw silly pictures, whatever you want!
This is a good one to bring that kid out in you guys and to just be goofy together!
