What is your Starbucks regular order?
A soy white chocolate punkin' mocha - it is fall after all!
- Tell us a little about you & Your chloe & isabel biz?
My son, Owen, was born in June, so I am adjusting to (and absolutely loving!) being a single mother. I am also finishing my last semester at the University of Arizona and will be graduating in December with my psychology degree.
Chloe and Isabel is a jewelry company based in NYC with merchandisers all over the country. We offer a lifetime guarantee on all products. We are also nickel free and hypoallergenic! As a merchandiser, I am always looking for ladies to host get togethers to look at look books, play some games, enter raffles and just enjoy a girls night! Or, I also look to do collaboration similar to this with mommas, fashion bloggers, and makeup bloggers. Plus, the host receives $50 in free jewelry credits for every $200 in sales!
- Is this business something you really planned for or did it fall into your lap?
I would say this business fell into my lap. When my son was first born, I was nannying for a family of five. Having a newborn and juggling that nanny job was too much! I really wanted to find something that would allow me to spend more time with him at home, that I could also have fun with, and Chloe and Isabel was the answer!
- Tell me a little bit about your inspiration this season?
Fall fashion is my jam! I really love darker, simple colors. Tan, black, stripes! I love Cara Loren's style but I like to match it using thrift shop finds.
- What has been your best/most validating moment with the business so far?
My mother actually hosted a Chloe and Isabel party this past weekend. She has loved the pieces she's seen and she really became a believer of the products and that I can make a successful business. She earned about $150 in free jewelry and she was so excited to have those credits to get people holiday gifts and treat herself. She keeps checking the mail waiting for her goodies!
- If you were a holiday pie what would you be? and why?
I would be a homemade apple pie because it reminds me of holidays with my family!
- What are some other small businesses that you support?
I support all small business. They give families a chance to grow a legend, provide close knit communities, and give families more time with each other. I am especially a fan of small business coffee shops and restaurant. The atmosphere is always more genuine!
- What is your of your guilty pleasure tv show?
I'm embarrassed of this answer, but not enough to lie! Grey's Anatomy, I'm On season 9 on Netflix.
- What are 2 things you have learned from opening a small business?
From opening my own small business, I have learned to be confident when approaching people. I have also learned the importance of story telling rather than just acting as a sales rep!
- How are you getting the word out about Your Chloe & Isabel biz?
I am really emphasizing the use of social media while marketing my C+I business. I am doing this by connecting with women who have similar style tastes. So far, it has been a success and the women I collaborate with love being able to give away a coupon and sometimes a piece of jewelry!
- What is a typical day for you?
My son is up at seven a.m. every morning. We usually go for a walk and then take a nap at 9 (yes, we both nap)! After that, we just see how the day goes! I love to cook at least one meal a day and I am vegan so I explore so many new recipes and sometimes they are a major flop which makes for some funny stories. By 7 or 8 though, we are both exhausted and it's time to wind down for bedtime!
- Crunchy or Creamy peanut butter?
This is easy! Crunchy!
- What is your best selling product?
My best selling product is the 3-in-1 minaret convertible. One of the stones is tiger eye, and I think that's what draws everyone's attention to it! Plus, who doesn't want three necklaces for the price of one?
- What are your goals for Your C & I biz over the next year?
Over the next year I would like to work on expanding my network, becoming an expert on all of our products and policies, and gathering wonderful hostesses!
-Any exciting things in the works?
