1. Q - What is your Starbucks regular order?
A - I am actually not a big coffee drinker anymore! But if I were to run to Starbucks, I would probably order a Very Berry Refresher or a Black Tea Lemonade.
2. Q - Tell us a little about you & Bitty B Design?
A - Hey! I'm Riley, a 22 year old mama to a sweet little boy. I'm a nanny by day, a maker by night, and a mother above all. We live in Virginia but Washington is where I call home. I love watching my little boy grow, making memories, paper crafting, and driving country roads with the windows down. (:
Every single item you'll find in the Bitty B Design shop is carefully handmade by me, with my son nearby. I feel as if we've only just started this journey and I am so excited to see whats to come!
3. Q - Is this business something you really planned for or did it fall into your lap?
A - It was definitely not planned! I would say it came about out of necessity really. I wasn't able to find the kind of things I really wanted for my son, so I decided to create them!
4. Q - Tell me a little bit about your inspiration for Bitty B Design?
A - My inspiration is 100% my son. Had he not been created, neither would Bitty B! Every item in the shop has been inspired by him, and the shop is continuing to grow with the new things he inspires daily!
5. Q - What has been your best/most validating moment with the business so far?
A - The most validating moment for me has been the positive reviews and feedback. It just warms my heart knowing that my hard work is being loved by other families.
6. Q - If you were a fruit what would you be? and why?
A - How about a watermelon? They're juicy.

7. Q - What are some other small businesses that you support?
A - Oh boy! Alki Candle Co, Periwinkle Jazz, Born Savage, Laura Frisk, Silent Poetry Arts, Eloweezy, The Vintage Honey Shop, Ryan and Rose, O Darling Handmade,The Golden Polka Dot, Crew & Co, Mountain Made, Little Sunshine Baby, and Little Cotton Top Apparel. To name a few (;
I just love the feeling of having pieces in our home that I know someone's heart went into creating. It makes me happy. (:
8. Q - What are 3 of your guilty pleasure tv shows?
A - Law & Order SVU is definitely number one! But I guess thats not really a guilty pleasure, is it? Okay guilty pleasures.. Teen Mom, Storage Wars, Little Women LA. (I know)
9. Q - What are 2 things you have learned from opening a small business?
A - The first thing I learned is exactly how much WORK goes into a handmade shop. I never realized it before I started my own and it has made me appreciate every shop I've ever come across that much more.
Which ties into the second thing I learned, PATIENCE. Things do not always work out exactly how you see them in your head. When I first started the seam ripper was a close friend of mine! But every ripped seam, miscut fabric, and finger prick has been more than worth it!
10. Q - How are you getting the word out about Bitty B Design?
A - The majority of the traffic has been through Instagram. With a couple shop features on blogs (thanks Becca and Kristle), shares on facebook, and shamelessly handing out business cards everywhere I go. (:
